Sloane Ranger Scarf Style: Country Edition.

Fall is that time of the year when we start to wear our scarves for comfort as well as style.

Here are some interesting ways to wear a headscarf together with a hat or cap for extra warmth and security.

Sloane Ranger Head scarf style is a vintage head scarf tying from the 1970s and 1980. For this scarf tutorial I use a silk square scarf Hermes “Sur un Tapis Volant” and “Charreada” , 35”x 35”(89cm x 89cm)

A little twist to the knot is a characteristic of Sloane Style. It may take a little time to get it just right but I think the effort is worth it!

The story goes that this knot started life like the previous style , which has a habit of slipping back on the head. The knot would come to rest in the recess just under the lips and women just left it where it was - after pulling the knot a little tighter.

I find that if I widen the front fold - not too much - I can achieve quite an elegant look.

A cap and a headscarf is an unusual combination - I really like it!

Same outfit with a different knot : you can see the difference. Which style you choose will always be based on personal preference although factors such as face shape. Whether you wear glasses or not, can all influence your decision.

Sometimes the weather isn't cold enough for me to really need a coat and I find that a chunky pullover is usually a good substitute. It creates a nice casual look, don't you think?

I hope you will try some of these styles for yourselves when you get the chance to visit some outdoor spaces. I think perhaps now, more than ever, is the time to connect with the seasons and appreciate the gifts of nature.
