Head scarves are the best friends of women - they disguise a bad
hair day, keep components in place when the winds kick, add style to
an outfit and allow the holder to reinvent itself with a couple of
pleats and tie. The scarf can even be worn in different ways depending
on the desired look. However, How to tie a head scarf is an art which
everyone can learn and master after some practice.
Step by step instructions on How to tie a head scarf
If you are going to look funky urban or gypsy like then begin with
a scarf or a larger rectangular square piece of suitable cloth. Fold
in half to form a triangle, and then fold again to form a small
triangle. Smooth Edge long on your forehead and tie the ends into a
knot under your hair. Let the lengths hang freely. For a softer look,
tie the scarf a little loose and allow some of your hair to show.
For more glamorous looks, start as in step 1 by folding a square
scarf in half to form a triangle. Drape it just above your hair,
allowing point of triangle down to the back of your head. Cross the
two ends hanging around the front of your neck and, if desired, tie a
knot.
Wear your scarf as a headband, fold it lengthwise until you reach
the desired thickness. Place the center of the scarf across your scalp
and keep it in place while you hang your head upside down. Ensure that
all strands are returned to the front, tie the scarf ends in a knot at
the back of your head. Once secure, turn your head backwards and style
your hair thrown back as you want. The headband scarf can be connected
to the front for a different look.
